“现在我们有三位入围非小说类组别决赛的选手，他们都来自深圳市丽中小学……”时间是2018年3月21日下午4时，在2018年香港青年作家大奖的颁奖典礼上，典礼主持人用甜美轻快的声音宣读了激动人心的消息。为了这一载入丽中史册的时刻，我们已经奋斗多年。
“获奖的是……钟煜！恭喜你！”
At about 4pm, 21 March 2018, the sweet but brisk sounding Master of Ceremony announced at the award ceremony of the 2018 Hong Kong Young Writers Award, “We have three entrants shortlisted for Group 1, non-fiction section, they are all from Regents Primary School of Shenzhen....” That was the moment we had been striving very hard for - a moment in the history of Regents!
入围英文写作
来自深圳市丽中小学3F班的钟煜同学获得了本次香港青年作家大奖非小说类别大奖。钟煜同学的另外两名竞争对手是同样来自丽中小学的陈俊道（3F班）和夏远铭（1F班）。
Zhong Yu, who comes from 3F; and the other shortlisted contestants are Chen Jun Dao (3F) and Xia Yuan Ming (1F).
除此之外，丽中小学1A班的Archie Joshua Robinson和4E班的王宣月还分别入围了第一组别小说类和第二组别非小说类的决赛。
Besides, essays from Archie Joshua Robinson (1A) and Wang Xuan Yue (4E) were also shortlisted in the Group 1 fiction section and Group 2 non-fiction section respectively.

入围封面设计
和英文科的写作成绩相比较，美术科的成绩更令人激动。在今年的比赛中，10幅入选决赛的作品中，就有多达8幅作品是来自丽中小学，这无疑是一个了不起的成就。
However, the achievement of the English department is very much dwarfed by the achievement of the Art Department. With a whopping 8 paintings shortlisted (out of 10), it is surely a massive achievement!
封面艺术组的入围选手有胡皓昀（6B），蔡泽滢（6C），赵艺涵（4D），陈菀瑜（3C），欧阳子丹（3F），池明芸（3G），孙主贺（3H）及毛可莹（2B）。
Names of the art cover contestants are Hu Hao Wan (6B), Cai Ze Ying (6C), Zhao Yi Han(4D), Chen Wan Yu (3C), Ouyang Zi Dan (3F), Chi Ming Yun (3G), Sun Ju Ha (3H), Mao Ke Ying (2B).

历年来，美术科在封面艺术组别获得无数奖项，包括2014年，2016年及2017年都获得封面大奖，这一系列的荣誉，毫无疑问地表明，在过去5年中，丽中小学的美术作品已经成为封面艺术类大奖最有力的竞争者，这对于丽中小学美术科的老师来说是无上的赞许。
Looking at the record, paintings from our school became champion in 2014, 2016 and 2017. That is a huge compliment to our Art teachers as our school’s paintings, undoubtedly, have become a dominant force in the ‘art cover’ section of the competition for at least the past 5 years!
香港青年艺术家大奖始办于2010年，包含写作及封面艺术两个大项。香港及大陆的众多知名英文学校及国际学校都参与其中。在每一个组别（包括封面艺术类）的比赛中，每一个获奖选手都是从上千份参赛作品中脱颖而出。正因如此，这项赛事的入围以至于获奖，都十分来之不易。
The Hong Kong young Writers Award competition was launched in 2010. It comprises two main parts: writing and art book cover. Many elite English schools all over Hong Kong and China, many of them international schools, are taking part in the competition. In each section of the competition (including art book cover), only 1 winner is selected out of at least a few hundred entries. This is why it is such a difficult competition to become shortlisted, and win!
当然，学生们的成绩，离不开辛勤耕耘的一线教师。我们衷心希望今天取得的成就，可以激励并鼓舞所有教师在教学上更上一层楼。
Naturally, seeds have been sown by our hardworking teachers. We wish the good work done could serve as an inspiration and encouragement to all our teachers to strive for a higher quality product of teaching and learning!
